Ever Go Back Over and Over To An Empty Fridge? Let’s Fix That.

Posted on September 27, 2015December 10, 2023 by Paul

I know some really successful failures. One guy I know ran his dads $4,000,000 business into bankruptcy. Another lost $15,000,000 in one year. One year!

After starting with only $2,000 and building it into $10 million, he blew it. His monthly personal burn was $40,000 a month. Imagine knowing that each and every month, you had to pay $40,000 in bills - and most of that was spent on "rent".

I don't mean these guys are failures, I mean they have failed before and are now back to being successful.

If not as successful as before, certainly not where they were.

The goal of Open Doors and Opportunity is to "teach and learn from you" how you, me, everyone - can do that. Come back from loss. Come back from defeat. Come back from failure. Just make a comeback period.

Making a comeback is one of the hardest things anyone can ever do. I know. I've had to do it time after time. You have too.

-

Every time I say, "this is the last time I'm going to find myself in this situation"...

A perfect example, relationships.

"I'm done with these girls who cheat" ... what do I do? Find the first available cheater.

That kind of thing.

We're going to be breaking bad habits - that's what we're going to do.

We're going to learn - closed doors are not where the fun, happy, healthy life is at. Having Open Doors and Opportunity - that is where that's located.

-

Ever go back over and over again the the fridge looking for something to eat knowing there's nothing in there and certainly nothing new?

Ever tell yourself I'm not going to make that mistake again - and then you rush out and make it?

Ever spend all your money and think, never again?

Ever become friends with people who you shouldn't be friends with - who constantly let you down because they aren't really your friend? (this just happened to me)

Ever think, "there's got to be a better way to do this life thing?"

Ever think, "how in the world do these rich people get rich? I want to be rich but I can't figure it out!"

There are a lot of lessons that can take us from having nothing to Open Doors and Opportunity. Sometimes those lessons are down and dirty and nittty and gritty - they aren't pretty. Sometimes they're not so bad.

-

No matter who reads this blog - you, me alone, business people, whomever - I'm just going to tell it like it is. From my OWN experience. The things I've been through. The things I've endured. The things that taught me something and the lessons I've learned.

I may, from time to time, use other's and their stories as inspiration. After all, I look up to people who have failed many times and finally learned a thing or two - I think I can learn something from them.

I talk investing. I talk business. I talk life. I talk love. I talk about the millionaires and the billionaires I know (and yes, I've known a few).

Open Doors and Opportunity.

I will talk about everything that will help you and ME become a better person. One who is happier and has a better outlook on life - and rich if not wealthy.

About

Open Doors and Opportunity – it’s what we wake up each day hoping to find.

We need Open Doors and Opportunity in order to move forward, become healthier, and live better lives.

Spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial improvements can only come from finding and using Open Doors and Opportunity to your advantage … (more)

Welcome to Open Doors and Opportunity!

My name is Paul and I’m the owner of this blog.

The picture of me above was taken by a very famous photographer who has also photographed Presidents of the United States, numerous celebrity actors and various sports professionals, as well as other business professionals like myself.

I was supposed to have a feature article written about what a great marketing professional I was in GQ Magazine, or Fortune Magazine, or Forbes, or Playboy … one of those … but then, things went sideways.

Really sideways.

The article was never written, the photo was never used anywhere, I was fired from the job that made that photo possible, I lost my home and ended up traveling all over in my pick-up truck (known as Unit #4)  and staying in various Wal-Mart parking lots (what I like to call the Wal-Mart Condo Association) for 2 years.

In the meantime, I’ve done everything. I’ve been a partner in the largest nightclub in SWFL, written songs with Grammy Winners in the Songwriter Hall of Fame, started as a public relations grunt and worked my way to Chief Marketing Officer of a restaurant group, and much, much, much more and many things.

It’s been a crazy life – with highs and lows not experienced by anyone who ever “played it safe” — but I was born to live, and so, that’s what’s I’ve done. These are just some of those (all true 100%) stories.
