Have you ever seen anyone, ever, eat kale? Anyone?
I haven't.
The older I get the more I wonder about this kale thing. "Why do restaurants waste time and money putting something no one ever eats on the plate?" Why?!
Maybe it's a little marketing and a lot of psychological manipulation.

Adding kale to a plate makes the plate seem fuller. A restaurant can say in an ad, "look at how full our plates are" and get away with it because 1/4 of the plate of nothing more than air. Something no one, in the history of man, is going to eat.
No one eats kale. It's a stupid plant, or vegetable (anyone know? I don't even care enough to Google it right now).

What other business or industry, does the "kale" thing?
The first one that comes to mind is politicians of course.
Politicians are the kale of society. No one wants them and yet, they're always there, on your plate, talking about how your plate could use this or that or the other.
Politicians are great at doing cocaine while telling people weed shouldn't be legal. Saying guns should be banned while sending thousands of guns to Mexican cartels which could be (were, are) used against agents. Violence on TV and the movies are killing a generation while taking money to turn a blind eye.
Come on, we all know what politicians are. What they stand for. Either party. All the same.
Even when we think, "ra, ra, ra we have someone on 'our' side" we find out that really we have no one and no one cares.
Here lately (meaning the last 30 years) we've gone from crisis to crisis to crisis - sometimes we can't even get passed a week before one crisis becomes another.
It's all happened before. Those people always create problems. It's what they do.
All good. And who cares.
