A blank slate.
A white piece of paper.
A clean canvas.
A large map and a dart.
If you could re-make your life, what would you do?
If you could go anywhere and survive, where would that be?

I love the idea of reinvention.
Starting from scratch all over again in a different place and at a different time.
When everything is once again 'new'.
Opportunity seems everywhere.
Sometimes it is. Sometimes not.
The grass can seem better on the other side. Often times it's not - but that's only known after the fact.

I talked to an attorney this past week. Very prominent guy.
Entertainment guy up in Nashville.
The thought was I would re-start Nashville Hype!
As a radio show.
I don't know about that.
I LOVED being on the radio and having my own show. Good times.
But maybe that was because I was able to assemble the best damn live radio crew this side of Gerry House and the House Foundation.
My co-host understood my sense of humor and provided just the right amount of sass and smartness.
My news guy was literally the most interesting man in the world. The guy had done it all.
The 'this is interesting' guy was so dull and boring that he played tremendously well on the radio. Think Steven Wright, but not.
The guest were steered into having fun a forgetting they were on air - and most turned out really good.
Can I do that again?
The Nashville Hype! Radio Show is based around the idea that I can get 1 business guest for a 15-17 minute segment (the President and GM of the Nashville Sounds has agreed to be the first guest), 1 "new or still up-coming" musical artist (Rissi Palmer, who I love, has agreed to be this guest), and 1 "super big star" (think Garth Brooks).
Once a week. One hour syndicated show.
It would be a good show.
Actually, it would be a great show. I would be the host.
But.
Is that moving forward or looking back?
A real open open door or a not so good opportunity?
My grandmother never liked looking back.

Reinvention of yourself is an important part of creating Open Doors and Opportunity. Often times however, you need to determine of the reinvention is the one you truly need - or if you just feel unsatisfied where you are.
I wasn't a PR and marketing expert - I was a carpet installer who then installed large scale computer networks all over the country.
At some point I became a PR guy and built one of the largest online marketing companies in all of south west Florida.
It wasn't a conscious decision on my part to do that.
I enjoyed doing PR and marketing in particular. I searched for years for he right opportunity - and finally found one with an open door.
Thinking of changing careers?
The best way is to find something you're interested in and searching for Open Doors and Opportunity in that field.
It may take a while - and that's okay. You need to learn as much as you can about what you want to do - or will be doing - in order to be successful.
But you can do it.
